As a full-service cosmetic dentist, Dr. Kleive has corrected hundreds of smiles with the application of porcelain veneers. These thin, ceramic sheets are carefully applied to the surface of the teeth to correct stains, discolorations, gaps, and misshapen teeth. Veneers are widely preferred as an easy, affordable, and non-invasive solution for imperfect smiles. In most cases, dental veneers can transform a smile in just one to two visits.
One of the most common questions we receive from patients is how to go about choosing a brand of dental veneers. Many of them have heard of Lumineers, one of the most widely advertised brands, and automatically assume they’re the best choice. Or they may have looked into the Lumineers price and mistakenly assumed that they couldn’t work veneers into their budgets. (See details about our patient financing options.)
It’s important to note that Lumineers aren’t the only option in dental veneers. There are many other brands available, including MAC veneers and da Vinci veneers. When choosing a veneer, brand shouldn’t be the only deciding factor. Below are some other important things to consider:
Existing cosmetic problems: Depending on the extent of your dental problems, you may need more or less improvements. Depending on your particular situation, a certain brand may be more suitable for you.
Durability: It’s important that the veneer you choose is strong enough to withstand years of daily use, and is also resistant to stains and decay. A high-quality porcelain veneer should last for years.
Non-invasive application: Ideally, a porcelain veneer should require little to no anesthesia, and shouldn’t necessitate the drilling of any tooth enamel.
Dr. Kleive has an in-depth knowledge of dental veneers, and has used them to correct many different types of smile problems.
