Your Consultation
Dental exams typically leave patients in a quandary of mixed thoughts and emotions. Patients are often examined and told what to do, or “sold” treatment, without participating in the decision-making process. More than half of the people who seek our care need us to re-do poorly-planned dentistry.
Because he believes that people will make the best decisions for themselves when they have the information and opportunity to do so, Dr. Kleive encourages patients to actively participate in their own treatment planning. Of course Dr. Kleive has solutions that he believes would contribute to predictable success, but high pressure sales is not something that his patients experience.
How the Consultation Goes
Your initial consultation will take place in our consultation room. It will typically last about 30 minutes and you will meet personally with Dr. Kleive and either Vicki or Shannon.
The communication is honest and safe. We have put the appropriate amount of time aside so as not to rush you. We want to understand your dental history, your goals, and your needs. Dr. Kleive is happy to answer all your questions. You will also have the opportunity to view the Before and After photos of our patients that we proudly display on our office walls.
Preventing Future Problems
When you are seeking a dentist it is important that you have confidence in him or her to bring your mouth back to health and natural beauty. Many dental practices are repair-orientated, problem-focused, or sales-driven. In other words, the major focus is on resolving problems after they have occurred, with little time spent looking at patterns or reasons why problems are occurring. We prefer to take time over developing a plan that will prevent future problems.
If you decide to move forward with dental work, Dr. Kleive will begin gathering the information by:
- Looking at your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite
- Taking X-rays
- Taking photos
- Taking impressions of your teeth
Your initial consultation is free of charge. It is an opportunity for you to decide if Dr. Kleive is the right cosmetic dentist for you before you make an investment.
