Why must I have dental work redone?
Experience tells us that there are many reasons previous dental work fails. Corrections like fillings or crowns are sometimes offered with little attention to the reason why they failed in the first place or how the correction might impact the rest of the mouth. We know how to break this cycle by evaluating your mouth very closely so you can experience long-term, predictable dentistry.
Can you help me with a tooth that broke or chipped?
Absolutely. After Dr. Kleive gets the tooth comfortable for you he will investigate how it happened and if you have any other teeth vulnerable to similar damage. We want to help you maintain your teeth for your lifetime and early detection of potential problems can be key.
Is whitening safe and if so, what product is best?
Most whitening products are safe except for “whitening” toothpastes. They contain abrasive ingredients such as baking soda which gradually wear down the enamel. Eventually your teeth will be more yellow because the yellow dentin layer will start showing through the thinning enamel.
Also, store-bought products do not provide the same level of effectiveness for every person. Most people do not want to waste their time and increase their frustration with products that don’t work – so they appreciate our knowledge and support in recommending the best tooth whitening product or procedure for them based upon their individual needs.
How do you work with people who are afraid?
We have found the biggest key in helping people who are afraid is allowing them to maintain a strong sense of control. We work very closely with our patients to make sure they experience the level of individualized attention they need.
How much does it cost for a second opinion?
It's free. Who doesn't like to share their opinion? If you have a particular issue that you are unsure about, Dr. Kleive would be happy to help you sort through the options that he thinks are available to you.
What can I expect when I first meet you?
You can expect that we will greet you and be ready for you precisely at your appointment time. Before we ever take you to a dental chair, we will take the time to listen to you. We want to hear from you about where you've been, where you are now and where you might want to go with your dental care.
Do you take my insurance?
Yes. We can process claims on your behalf for all types of insurance. We will ask your insurance plan to pay any benefits directly to you. We also have flexible financing options so that the finest dentistry is available to almost everyone.
Does the health of my mouth really affect the health of my body?
Yes. More and more clinical research confirms the connection between dental health and general health. You can see the connection if you think for a moment about gum disease. The gums begin to bleed as infection progresses, making it possible for the mouth bacteria to enter the bloodstream. Now they can travel anywhere in the body and cause other problems.
We are passionate about helping people become healthier. We consistently see the improvement that a healthy mouth has for a person's appearance and well-being.
My past dental experiences were painful. Does it have to be this way?
No. Unfortunately there are too many people who have had painful previous experiences . . . some of them very painful. Before Dr. Kleive performs any procedure, he asks this question of himself: "How can do it so that this person doesn't feel pain or discomfort?"
Can you help me look as young as I feel?
Many of our patients comment that by renewing their smile they have reversed the natural aging process. They look younger because they feel younger – how can you beat that?
Is it hard to get an appointment with you?
No. We will find an appointment time that fits into your busy schedule. Unlike most other offices, our small practice is designed to serve the needs of one person at a time. You will find that we are on time and not rushed. You will have our undivided attention at each and every visit.
Is your office technologically advanced?
We think so. We hope you notice how progressive our website is . . . when you come for your free consultation you will notice how we have integrated the most advanced technology into our office.
